Nick Pickles for Normanton, Pontefract and Castleford

Nick Pickles is the Conservative candidate for Normanton, Pontefract and Castleford, taking on Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, Yvette Cooper.

The seat is made up of 7 wards of Wakefield Metropolitan District Council, the only council still controlled by Labour in West Yorkshire. Many of the target seats the Conservatives hope to win in order to win control of the council fall in the constituency.

As they say, Nick was born and bred in the constituency and will be casting his vote in the primary school he attended.
