Stop the Dagenham Prison

In an attempt to prevent the controversial and widely opposed plans to create the biggest prison in the UK in Dagenham it is likely that the Justice Secretary will leave residents waiting on a decision.

Simon says

‘It is obvious that the majority of residents in Dagenham wholly oppose these plans.  I have been fighting the plans for more than two and a half years.  They prevent the site from being used to create the high skilled jobs and investment opportunities that this community needs.

‘The government is therefore eager to bottle the plans of Jack Straw because they know that this is not the best decision for this site and are afraid to be held to account for it in the run up to the general election.’
